I have received feedback and negative reviews from users indicating that their phones are not rooted or inquiring about what rooting entails. Therefore, if your device is not rooted, I strongly advise against downloading this application. This application has the capacity to temporarily or permanently DISABLE ad blocking. It is common for certain applications to restrict functionalities when an ad blocker is detected. This tool enables users to back up their host's file, deactivate the ad block, allowing full app functionality. Subsequently, users can choose to restore the previous settings and resume blocking ads.

The functionality of this app is based on backup, restoration, and removal of ad blockers. It is worth noting that this tool does not augment ad blocking capability.

Therefore, by using this application, users can opt to allow advertisements on their devices either permanently or temporarily.

HOW IT WORKS:

The application operates by manipulating the file situated on your device at /etc/hosts to divert internet protocol traffic to a specified location. Redirecting them to localhost effectively blocks the respective IP address, which mirrors the typical functioning of ad blockers. In essence, this app scans the file for specific keywords or can clear the entire document.

WHY I DEVELOPED THIS APP:

The inspiration for creating this application stemmed from my personal experience with a custom ROM on my phone that included a default ad blocker. Months later, when attempting to use a specific application that disabled features upon detecting an Ad Blocker, I realized my device was inadvertently blocking ads. This lack of awareness frustrated me since the ad blocking setting was predetermined by the ROM without any notification. The objective of this application is to provide users with autonomy over such settings.

While I do not oppose ad blocking, I firmly advocate for transparency and choice regarding these features, ideally through proper disclosure within ROM configurations.
